One of our very favorite home lines, Serena & Lily, knows that living well begins at home. Last week we launched the Serena & Lily and Palm Beach Lately Sisters Suite at The Colony and our vision was for guests to feel like they were staying at their home away from home.
Today we are sharing one of the pieces we used in the suite and how you can style a similar bar cart for everyday vs. entertaining! We used the South Seas bar carts from Serena & Lily as nightstands in the Master Room because we loved the rattan detail and openness of the carts.
We put the Claremont table lamps from Serena & Lily on both sides of the bed for easy night reading and a small Lindroth tumbler with a peony bud (our most loved flower) upon two of our favorite coffee table books – The Stylish Life Tennis and Amanda Lindroth’s Island Hopping. On the bottom shelf, we did a mix of coral pieces to bring in the beachy element.
Holiday entertaining in one of our favorite things to do. You could use the South Seas bar cart for a hot chocolate bar, cider bar, afternoon tea, specialty cocktail bar and more. The rail on the bottom keeps bottles and barware in place, and the sturdy handles and wheels on each end make it easy to work the room.
We styled the South Seas bar cart for holiday entertaining with our favorite wine, The Palm rosé by Whispering Angel. The cart is large enough you could even have a few bottles and host a wine tasting.
We love using a large clam shell as an ice bucket and recently served wine at Beth’s baby shower in the oversized shell. To see more from Beth’s baby shower, click here.
We added some faux garland, blush pink wine glasses, pink ginger jar with white canvas palms, peonies in a Lindroth wicker hurricane and pink ceramic Christmas trees.
The South Seas also comes in a side cart version if you are looking for an option to fit into a smaller space. It is a great size to double as a bedside table or mini bar in the living room or dining room. It also is available as a console and would be perfect for an entry way, in the dining room or behind a couch.
We used the South Seas coffee table in the Serena & Lily and Palm Beach Lately Sisters Suite at The Colony and it was a great rattan option for stacking books, orchids, and playing cards.
What’s your favorite way to use a bar cart? We’d love to hear! Leave your answer in the comments below. Happy hosting for the holidays! xo
