Ever since we were little girls, we have been in love with Palm Beach’s iconic hotel, The Breakers. It’s rich in history and magical to experience, and we like to come here as often as possible to soak it all in. Sometimes we pop in for a bite to eat or drink and sometimes we stay overnight for special occasions – either way, we always leave with the best memories. Today we can’t wait to share some of our favorite things to do on our special “sistercations” at The Breakers!
When we stay overnight, we usually arrive in the afternoon, get settled in our room and freshen up for an early dinner reservation. On this evening, it was the perfect time to splurge on the newly renovated Seafood Bar that overlooks the ocean. This restaurant has the best ocean view on the island and the new nautical style is the perfect compliment to their fresh seafood menu. Our favorite element: the aquarium bar and table, of course!
After dinner we love to swing by HMF, a happening spot on the island <and another favorite dinner spot of ours> that draws a lively crowd, for a nightcap. It’s a great spot for people watching and after a cocktail, we are ready to head back to our guest room for a good night’s sleep. We have stayed in many different rooms at The Breakers and are big fans of their accommodations and service, as well as waking up to the fresh ocean breeze!
In the morning, we like to rise and shine bright and early and either grab a quick bite on the go at News & Gourmet or sit for a poolside and oceanfront breakfast at The Beach Club Restaurant. This popular spot is known for their juice bar, full buffet, and yummy a la carte options like buttermilk pancakes, macadamia crusted french toast, eggs benedict and more!
After breakfast, we hurry to find prime lounge chairs at one of their pools <there are 4 to chose from!>. If it’s a family day and the kids are with us, we love the family pool and are often spotted playing on the nearby lawn. If it’s just us, we like to grab lounge chairs at the main pool, read a good book or flip through magazines, and sip on coconut drinks. To switch up the scenery, we also like to walk down to the beach and take a dip in the ocean!
Our favorite way to end a sunny day is with two scoops of ice cream in a fresh waffle cone from News & Gourmet! The little courtyard is one of our favorite places to sit and relax and also features great shops like Lilly Pulitzer, Polo Ralph Lauren and Coconut Crew. Soon they will also be opening a brand new craft ice cream, frozen custard and locally-made Italian gelato bar called Mary Lily’s that we will definitely be our new favorite spot!
You also don’t want to miss: their poolside bungalows, spa, fitness center and classes, golf, tennis, weddings and celebrations, and more!
