Holiday: Citrus Christmas Brunch

This holiday season, we wanted to include our state fruit, the orange, into our holiday style because we love what it stands for – joy, happiness and hope. We always decorate our homes for the holidays with a variety of greenery like centerpieces, garland, trees and wreaths <you can see more on that here, here and here>, so it was simple yet stunning to weave fresh oranges, lemons and limes throughout our usual decor. And because we love entertaining, we couldn’t wait to host a Christmas Brunch in true Florida style!

For the brunch, Carla Tavolacci with The Event Group created the most beautiful floral and citrus centerpiece and citrus tree and also adorned our wreath by One Kings Lane and new pineapple sconces by Ballard Designs with florals, fresh fruit and greenery.

We then set the table with straw placemats, bamboo chargers and gold silverware from our favorite tableware company, Juliska. And our tablescape wouldn’t be complete without our signature pink color, so we used whimsical pink and white plates from HomeGoods, pink cloth napkins, and pink wine glasses by Anthropologie! For a playful twist on the place setting, we included a menu card by Lovely Little Party and set a clementine and magnolia leaf on top.

Our brunch menu featured yummy comfort foods, but the vanilla lemon cake with lemon buttercream icing that our good friend Jamie Fago of The Southern Bakery stole the show!
