We recently moved our family into a new home, and our kitchen is without a doubt our favorite room in the new place! The two large windows make it bright and airy, the extra large island is perfect for cutting, preparing and serving food, and the white cabinets and countertops are a clean, blank canvas to add our own style. The first project I jumped to work on was bringing my love for outdoor awnings indoors by dreaming up these cute pink and white cabana striped awnings!
My sister and I have been swooning over Palm Beach awnings since we were little girls, and when it came time to make my vision come alive, I reached out to Hoover Architectural – a family owned and operated business serving South Florida since 1949. They typically design, manufacture and install fabric awnings, metal awnings and outdoor architectural structures, but they graciously and creatively came up with this perfect indoor design for our kitchen using this striped fabric from Pottery Barn Kids!
I’m so happy with how they turned out and think they look just darling with these flower window boxes from Grandin Road <I’ll talk more about these kitchen details soon>! Also, if you aren’t local to the area and have questions about the outdoor awning process, there is an awesome website you should check out called Awning Resources. It’s a great place to find unbiased information on the best type of awning for you, locate an awning contractor and get awning CAD drawings! I can’t wait to have outdoor awnings one day, too!

Hi Danielle, Would you mind telling me what color of white paint you used in your kitchen? It is always so tough finding the right shade of white. Thanks!
Hi Liz!
I wish I could but it was already painted when we moved in!
Wow a very beautiful awning! Really, this is looking so beautiful inside the kitchen. The color of awning looks so cute. Earlier I had bought 3 awnings for windows of my rooms from SunGuard. Though these look amazing and protect against sunlight very efficiently, I never thought that I could install an awning in kitchen too. By seeing these images I am definitely going to buy it. Thank you for sharing the beautiful idea and a beautiful awning for it.
