We have been going to The Royal Poinciana Plaza, now known as “The Royal,” long before it began its notable makeover back in 2016. But the talented team behind The Royal has brought so much new life, style and hospitality that we almost can’t remember what the old plaza was like! It has been such a magical transformation to have here on the island, and we find ourselves wanting to come here all.the.time. Now that this vibrant destination is in full swing, we can’t wait to share what one of our typical days at The Royal is like with you!
In the morning, we like to stop by Celis Produce to say hi to the sweet brothers and owners Alex, Camilo and Felipe and grab a fresh El Flamingo or The Glow smoothie or Classic Açaí Bowl. We are also big fans of the organic and locally farmed fruits and vegetables, yummy pantry items, Flower and Fringe floral bouquets and HeartSwell cards in their hip market!
Next up, we are ready to step into some of the stylish stores! A couple doors down from Celis is the most precious baby and children’s clothing store called Bognar & Piccolini. It has everything from dainty crochet booties to elegant dresses that will melt your heart.
After swooning at the kid’s store, we like to pop into their neighboring shop, St. Frank. It features a curated collection of globally-inspired products that are all ethically made by artisans around the world. Think: framed textiles, pillows, books and so much more!
Just around the corner are three more of our favorite boutiques. Cynthia Rowley features bold-meets-feminine dresses, skirts, pants, tops, swimwear, bags and more. You can spot us wearing two of our current favorite dresses from her shop in these picture! Everything But Water’s BEACH shop is full of so many fabulous suits and hats, it’s hard to pick just one! And Kirna Zabete has the most amazing collection of luxury designers that range from Rosie Assoulin to Gucci. Owner Beth Buccini has an incredible eye for style and hand-picks the most colorful and distinct collections!
After shopping for a bit, it’s a great time to break for lunch at Sant Ambroeus. Known for their Milan-meets-Manhattan vibe, we are often spotted having Avocado Toast in their cafe, an Artichoke Salad on their patio, a big bowl of pasta in their dining room or a cocktail by the bar. We also love bringing the kids here for gelato <chocolate and coconut are our favorite flavors> after we ride bikes from the Palm Beach Bicycle Shop!
After lunch, we have to swing by Assouline to get lost in one of their luxury books. Their Palm Beach location is their second stand alone store and offers a variety of unique books that make a wonderful addition to your home library and coffee table… or a thoughtful gift!
The Royal also offers other fun shops like Vespa <ride goals!>, a few beauty and wellness options and so many more shops! And before our day is done, we had to try The Honor Bar – Palm Beach Grill’s casual new spot located right next door. We love that they have no reservations and welcome walk-ins for lunch and dinner. Our favorites from their menu include the Burrata on Toast, Tuna Tartare, Dip Duo and French Dip Au Jus!
That about wraps up our day at The Royal, but there’s still so much to do and see! For the full list of brands and for help planning your day, make sure to hop over to The Royal’s site!
And a big congrats to Samantha Perry David, the visionary behind The Royal! We just love what you have done to the plaza! xo
