Anyone who knows me, knows this is hands down my favorite time of year, so I have been itching to start decorating! Last year was the first time we had a faux flocked tree <you can view my home tour here> and the best part is you don’t have to wait for the trees to be out to start putting up your holiday decor.
Earlier this year, we finished decorating the living room with the help of Luxe Report Designs, and it is full of my favorite things – black and white striped chairs, chandelier, boxwood wall, blush, gold and more <you can view that post here>.
This holiday season, I wanted to incorporate more blush and pineapple ornaments <here and here> with a mix of our meaningful ornaments – Baby’s First Christmas, Just Married, one of our maltese, a swan that reminds be of Grace’s nursery and Swan Soiree First Birthday and other memories. And I just adore our pineapple tree topper, the symbolic meaning of hospitality.
I have searched for years for blush stockings and this year West Elm came out with the blush ombre stockings and I snagged them before they sell out! I love the smell of fresh greenery so my friend Carla from The Event Group helped me drape the stairs with fresh greenery and Danielle helped hang the stockings.
This porcelain bowl is great for storing matches, candy or nuts and I keep it on the coffee table year round. This piece was in a recent post of our favorite heirloom pieces from Jay Strongwater <you can view that post here.>
We decked the palms by adding some fresh garland to the rattan mirror, bottle brush trees, and pink nutcracker to the console table. Last year I started collecting a nutcracker a year for our daughter – last year the pink nutcracker and this year a black and gold one.
Now that we have our key pieces like our console, it makes decorating easy each season to do holiday decor updates. We recently added a pineapple doorknocker <similar here> and I just love it with the boxwood wreath.
