We have always loved dressing up for Halloween ever since we were little kids. From Raggedy Ann to Britney Spears, we have played some great characters over the years, and one of our favorite home videos is the two of us as toddlers in our costumes counting our Halloween candy at the kitchen counter at the end of the night. Now that we have kiddos of our own, you guessed it… we love dressing up together, as a family!
In the past few years, we have dressed up as the cast of Frozen, Doc McStuffins and Finding Dory. You may also remember that last year on the blog, we dressed our little girls up as adorable pink flamingos and also decorated a Halloween Superhero tablescape for them.
This year we are getting our little ones into team sports, so we thought a sports theme would be fun. We grew up loving the movie A League of Their Own, especially sisters Dottie and Kit, and the adorable old-fashioned baseball dresses they wore. The movie is also celebrating its 25 year anniversary this year, so it’s a great time to play the baseball stars!
We had so much fun testing out our costumes at our local baseball field! The Rockford Peaches costumes come in ladies and little girl sizes, and the Coach Jimmy costumes come in mens and toddler boys, too. The outfits include belts, socks and hats, and we added wooden bats, baseball gloves and cleats or sneakers to complete our looks. We can’t wait to wear them on Halloween, and we’d love to know… do you like dressing up? If so, what will you be this year?! xo
