Beth and I recently had the pleasure of meeting with four of the guys behind two notable local brands, Buccan and Madeira Housewares, for a first-hand experience of their new culinary collaboration. Madeira Housewares, founded by Jason Norcross {my hubby!}, Michael Rendina and Joseph Sayegh, specializes in finding exotic wood and crafting it into works of art for the kitchen. Madeira developed an entire new product line devoted to the Food Service category and presented it to Chef Clay Conley and Piper Quinn of the island’s hot spots Buccan and Imoto, and they immediately jumped on board!
The partnership has been very successful, and we couldn’t wait to see how Buccan pairs their delicious menu items with Madeira’s original products. Our favorite combinations included Buccan’s Mushroom Pizza and Tuna Tartare on Madeira’s Bread Board, Buccan’s Burger on Madeira’s Mario Batali Round Chop Block and Buccan’s Lobster Roll on Madeira’s Teak Plate. Scroll down to see the amazing foodie pics – but we warn you, you will be drooling and hungry by the end! If you’d like to take Madeira home with you, you can shop their products online, and also keep an eye out for their paddle boards, flights and plates popping up in restaurants, hotels and clubs all over the country!
