Beth and I love to travel and one of our favorite kinds of trips that we take are “sistercations”. For these mini vacays, we pack light and head to an easy yet dreamy destination to unwind, refresh, pamper, eat, drink… and laugh a ton. Living in Florida, we are lucky to have so many beautiful spots both locally on the island and all over the state that we frequent throughout the year. We recently enjoyed a sistercation at Eau Palm Beach and are very excited to share our first behind the scenes pictures of these trips! This hotel is so stinking fabulous and we have so much to share that you simply must scroll down to see all the fun and details! xo
The Scoop on Eau Palm Beach:
Eau Palm Beach is located on the south end of Palm Beach, directly on the ocean, and is known as the area’s best spa destination. When we arrived, we were captivated by the bright aqua cabana striped awning that guarantees more cheeky personality and playful color throughout the hotel. Check-in is at 4 pm and we were a bit early, so we sat and enjoyed a glass of bubbly, played on the luggage cart, took the chic bikes for a quick spin and then were assisted to our suite.
If you haven’t heard, Eau Palm Beach’s rooms and suites recently underwent a super stylish “re-envisioning” by the famous designer Jonathan Adler. His design philosophy is to “build a timelessly chic foundation, then accessorize with abandon” and that is exactly what he did for Eau Palm Beach. When we walked into our suite, our jaws dropped. We have so many favorite details, but let’s start with the bed. The cobalt and yellow color combo, the bold patterned headboard, the euro shams… we admired the bed’s beauty for a few minutes and then jumped up and down in excitement that this is where we would rest for the night.
Other notable design elements in our suite include the wallpaper – a silver and white bamboo lattice pattern in the entryway and a blue scalloped pattern in the bathroom – as well as Slim Aarons pictures, a swanky blue velvet sofa, a cozy balcony swing {each balcony has one!}, and every last piece of decor. Seriously, it’s very hard to part with the pieces when it’s time to head home. Luckily, you can score some items in the hotel’s gift shop, and if you really want to deck out your home, head to a Jonathan Adler store or shop online.
After we soaked in our suite, the next stop on our list was Eau Spa for massages and facials. This spa always exceeds our expectations, and you can read more about the ins and outs of it from our Eau Spa feature with Forbes Travel Guide. On this visit, we went straight to our appointments – which were heavenly and eau so relaxing – and then {literally} hung around in their outdoor swings with no agenda and nowhere to be. And while the hotel has several dining options that range from luxury to casual, we decided to order dinner at the spa and enjoy the quiet oasis as the sun set.
Then we headed back to our suite to cozy up in our pajamas, chat and read good books before falling asleep. In the morning, we enjoyed breakfast in bed while listening to the waves rolling on the shore. We were in no rush to leave and bounced around the property taking in all of the incredible design details and beauty of the beach.
This sistercation was everything we could have asked for and more! We left rested, re-energized and ready to head back to the real world, but with a little piece of this experience in our hearts. If you like bold personality, playful decor, bright colors, a modern Palm Beach feel, and a cheeky spa, this is your hotel. With summer here, now is the perfect time to come enjoy it! xo
