One of our first and favorite blogs we ever started following was Danielle Oakey Interiors. Danielle’s design choices are always in line with ours, and we love how she mixes color, pattern and texture on a budget without sacrificing style.
Now in true sister form, Beth and I have similar yet different styles in our homes.
I love love LOVE color and have a very hard time committing to just one. Soft pastels, pops of color, preppy bold hues, deep jewel tones… it’s hard to pick one palette because I love them all! However, Beth is more monochromatic at home. She likes blushes, golds, greys {LOTS of grey!} and creams. Such a beautiful combo that looks clean, modern and even romantic depending on what pieces you pair together.
But there is one color we both agree on, and that is black. Ahh, black. It’s bold, it’s neutral, it’s edgy, it’s classic, it’s anything you want it to be. And it’s our on-going obsession. So when I recently contacted Danielle Oakey about updating my main living space {an open area that consists of our living room, dining room, kitchen and mini play area for the kids}, she flawlessly e-designed the latest {yet timeless!} must-have black and white pieces that will perfectly compliment my colorful accents.
Danielle’s design boards located at the top and bottom of this feature are guiding me through the makeover. We will reveal the transformation right here once complete!
